Schedule: Within these pages you will find my paintings in oil and in watercolor. I paint because I must paint; I see so many interesting faces and places throughout my day and I feel that these faces and places must be recorded. This is life! I started painting in caseins in 1970 but child-rearing took precedence at that time and I came back to it in 1990 studying and learning how to paint in watercolor. This was a challenging and satisfying hobby while in a very high pressure workplace. Once the workplace was behind me, I started painting in watercolor again, mainly portrait commissions of children and florals. In 2000, I began my odyssey with oil painting and presently am enjoying painting in both mediums. I am loving it and never leave my house without a sketch pad or a camera. I live in Northern Indiana just a stone's throw from Lake Michigan and have been taking commissions of children and adults. I enjoy getting to know my clients and try to paint them through their souls, revealing not just an image, but who they actually are. Painting magnificent flowers is something I truly enjoy. I paint them up close and personal. I like to know what makes a flower a flower! My macro veggies are also great fun to paint (perfect in a kitchen or restaurant) and have been well received. Should you be interested in a portrait of a loved one or a portrait of your home, please contact me. And we now take Visa and Mastercard payments. Thank you for visiting!
