Beautiful Remembrance...
A portrait of you or your children is a treasured keepsake to share and enjoy for generations. A portrait may be painted from a photo that is dear to you or from a photo taken by the artist.
If you so choose, a series of photos will be taken of your child at no extra charge, a natural likeness selected and a beautiful portrait will be painted using fine portrait canvas and professional archival oil paints.
A
head and shoulders 16x20 portrait is $450.00 for one person with an additional
$300 for each
additional person within the same portrait.
A head and shoulders 30x24 is $950 for one person with an
additional $650 for each additional person on Gallery Wrap canvas*.
A full figure portrait on a 30x24 Gallery Wrap canvas for one person
is $1250 with an additional $850 for each additional person.
Most portraits will be finished within 4-6 weeks. A deposit of 1/2 of the final amount is required. Your satisfaction is uppermost in my mind when presenting the finished piece. Should you choose not to accept the finished portrait, your deposit will be returned minus 25%.
- *Gallery Wrap Canvas is 1-1/2 inches deep, painted around the edges and does not require a frame.
Because I work from photographs, the inconvenience and expense associated with sittings can be avoided. Whenever possible, I prefer to take the photographs as my needs for composition and lighting are rarely met through commercial studio photography.
Photos are taken at your home or nearby settings; it's not unusual to shoot over 60 frames per shoot. I'll provide recommendations, but I encourage your participation as well.
Once the resource material is selected, you'll determine the medium and the
size…and therefore the price.
As the painting approaches completion, I'll ask you to participate in a review so that any necessary adjustments to the
likeness can be made to your satisfaction.
Delivery arrangements are made in consultation with you. In general, you can
expect your portrait to be ready for review about 30 days after photo selection.
Works on canvas are unframed with the exception of Gallery Wrap Canvas which
needs no frame.
